Job Summary
Perform comprehensive oral examinations of the mouth, throat, and pharynx, identifying abnormalities and referring patients to dentists as needed. Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and apply desensitizing agents, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Educate patients individually and in groups on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing and flossing methods. Take impressions, fabricate sports guards and bleaching trays, polish restorations, and apply pit and fissure sealants. Maintain, clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments while documenting care and managing patient scheduling using the Corporate Dental Application. Work Monday through Friday at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA, supporting active-duty Airmen in a structured clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Dental Hygienist license
- Certification in radiography
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical competency meeting service-specific credentialing standards
- Strong communication and patient education skills
