Job Summary
Conduct thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and restorative applications including fluoride and sealants. Accurately chart patient dental history, periodontal health, and treatment records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Administer local anesthetics when permitted by state practice act and assist dentists as directed. Partner with clinical leadership to build robust recall programs and educate patients on oral hygiene and nutrition. Work flexible schedules with front office staff to maximize patient time.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
