Job Summary
Conduct thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and sealant applications while administering local anesthetics as permitted. Accurately chart patient dental histories, update periodontal health records, and manage files in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide oral hygiene education on techniques and counseling regarding nutrition's impact on oral health. Assist the dentist with treatment plans and partner with support staff to build robust recall programs. Work part-time with control over your schedule, maximizing time per patient without rushing.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
