Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including preventative care, patient screening, and medical history documentation, while utilizing advanced technology such as iTero scanners and Velscope. Deliver personalized treatment plans and maintain optimal oral health for patients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and adhere to clinical protocols as required by the office. Complete mandatory TB testing and attend virtual or in-person training sessions. This role supports Smile Design Golden Acres in providing exceptional patient care within a secure, industry-leading network.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
