Job Summary
Dental Hygienist needed to join our growing dental practices in Lansdowne and Culpeper, VA, and Fort Washington, MD. You will assist the dentist in various procedures and operate x-ray machines. Responsibilities include cleaning teeth, reviewing patient medical history, examining gums and periodontal health, recording dental findings, maintaining dental equipment, promoting preventive care, applying fluorides, and administering local anesthetics. Requires an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene, state hygiene license, CPR certification, ability to administer local anesthetic agents, and proficiency with x-ray equipment. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited hygiene program
- State hygiene license
- Current CPR certificate
- Ability to administer local anesthetic agents
- Able to use an x-ray machine
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers for a variety of tasks
