Job Summary
Conduct daily dental hygiene procedures including cleaning teeth and gums, examining oral health, and recording decay for dentist diagnosis. Maintain dental equipment and x-ray machines while administering local anesthetic agents and applying fluoride agents. Review patient medical histories and promote preventative dental care to improve oral health outcomes. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to maintain a comprehensive hygiene program for patients. Requires current state license, associate's degree, and CPR certification. Earn $75-$80/hour with bonuses in Lansdowne and Culpeper, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited hygiene program
- State hygiene license
- Current CPR certificate
- Ability to administer local anesthetic agents
- Able to use an x-ray machine
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers for a variety of tasks
- Knowledgeable about oral hygiene and dental health
