Job Summary
Dental Hygienist role providing preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care under the supervision of a dentist. Responsibilities include cleaning teeth, examining gums, noting medical history, recording decay and disease, maintaining x-ray equipment, applying fluoride, administering local anesthetic agents, promoting preventive dental care, and collaborating with dentists and dental assistants. Requires an associate’s degree in dental hygiene, state hygiene license, CPR certification, ability to administer local anesthetic, and proficiency with x-ray machines, plus strong communication and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited hygiene program
