Job Summary
Dental Hygienist needed at Lansdowne and Culpeper VA practices. Responsibilities include cleaning teeth with dental instruments, reviewing patient medical history, examining gums for signs of disease, recording dental decay for dentist review, maintaining x-ray equipment, applying fluoride, and promoting preventative dental care. Must hold an accredited associate’s degree in dental hygiene, state hygiene license, and CPR certification; able to administer local anesthetic and operate an x-ray machine; strong communication and computer skills. Compensation ranges from $75-$80 per hour. locations include Sterling, VA and Culpeper, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited hygiene program
- State hygiene license
- Current CPR certificate
- Ability to administer local anesthetic agents
- Able to use an x-ray machine
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers for a variety of tasks
- Knowledgeable about oral hygiene and dental health
