Job Summary
Provide dental hygiene services including cleaning teeth, applying fluoride, and reviewing patient medical history; examine gums with probes for signs of disease; document dental decay for dentist review; maintain dental equipment and x-ray machines; promote preventative care; and collaborate with dentists and dental assistants. Requires an Associate’s degree from an accredited hygiene program, state hygiene license, CPR certification, ability to administer local anesthetic agents, proficiency with x-ray equipment, and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication along with computer skills.
