Job Summary
Provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to deliver exceptional lifetime care. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Maintain eligibility with a current South Carolina dental hygienist license, associate's or bachelor's degree, and CPR certification. Perform essential duties including prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lifting up to 45 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
