Job Summary
Provide preventative dental care and overall maintenance to patients through screenings, medical history documentation, and clinical procedures. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems while adhering to office clinical needs. Maintain a schedule from Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:15 PM, and complete required pre-employment TB testing. This role offers new graduates and seasoned hygienists access to mentorship, continuing education, and a supportive team culture within a growing practice.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Tennessee
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test

- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
