Job Summary
Dental Hygienist works with dentists to meet patient oral health needs through dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, periodontal maintenance, charting, radiographs, and preventive care. Responsibilities include performing routine treatments such as cleaning and polishing, taking radiographs, applying sealants and fluorides, maintaining electronic records, educating patients on prevention, and assisting with treatment planning and related duties. Requires completion of dental hygiene program and NC license; full-time at Oxford, NC location. Focuses on patient care, accuracy in documentation, teamwork, and adherence to office protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene
- Current Hygienist license for state of North Carolina
- Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability and promptness
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to articulate patient concerns to dentist
