Job Summary
Conduct preventive care and patient education while managing dental hygiene procedures, screenings, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays to maintain patient oral health. Maintain clinical skills through virtual or in-person training sessions and adhere to office clinical needs. Complete required TB testing prior to employment. Work full-time Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Join a team supporting over 3,000 doctors across 39 states in delivering high-quality dental care.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in NC
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
