Job Summary
Provide comprehensive preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools including Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to support patient needs. Maintain a schedule of Monday–Thursday from 6:35 AM to 3:45 PM with a 30-minute lunch, adhering to essential physical requirements such as prolonged standing, lifting up to 45 pounds, and completing mandatory TB testing. Participate in virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year to enhance clinical skills within a stable, industry-leading environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in NC
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Excellent working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures
- Excellent working knowledge of dental patient screening
- Excellent working knowledge of medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
