Job Summary
Part-time Dental Hygienist needed in Park City, Utah, Thursdays; duties include cleaning plaque and calculus deposits with ultrasonic/hand instruments and prophy cup polish, evaluating medical history, recording dental decay/ disease for diagnosis, maintaining equipment and x-ray machine, examining gums for disease, sharpening/sterilizing instruments, promoting preventive treatment, applying fluoride, collaborating with dentist and other hygienists for co-diagnosis, maintaining patient oral hygiene regimens, and building trust with patients. Requires an associate’s degree in hygiene, Utah hygiene license, CPR, ability to administer local anesthetics, ability to use an x-ray machine, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current Utah hygiene license
- Associate’s degree in hygiene from a recognized institution
- CPR certification is current
- Ability to give local anesthetics
- Ability to use an x-ray machine
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
- Comfortable with a variety of computer processes
