Job Summary
Conduct 60-minute recare and 90-minute new patient appointments using Arestin, iTero, and Velscope tools while documenting medical histories. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures and patient screening. Participate in regular doctor and hygiene meetings to support team collaboration and mentorship from day one. Complete a tuberculosis test prior to starting employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Maintain physical stamina for prolonged sitting, standing, and lifting up to 45 pounds as required by the office.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
