Job Summary
Provide oral prophylactic services including cleanings, exams, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatment, and sealants to patients of all ages. Perform root planning, expose and develop radiographic studies, and educate patients on oral hygiene instructions. Prepare treatment operatories by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Select materials and equipment based on patient oral health evaluations. Document all patient encounters accurately in Dentrix and Epic. Welcome patients, answer questions, and maintain excellent customer service while promoting teamwork. Travel to and from community locations to transport equipment and materials. Assist with administrative functions and participate in health fairs and outreach events. Maintain punctuality and comply with privacy policies.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene School
- Valid driver's license
- Licensed as a dental hygienist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Licensed to administer local anesthesia (Permit L)
- Equivalent of one year of full-time clinical experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to travel to and from NeighborHealth and community locations
