Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
Conduct preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through daily clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to deliver exceptional lifetime care while adhering to clinical needs as required by the office. Maintain a schedule including Tuesday through Friday shifts and one Saturday per month, with a requirement for a tuberculosis test prior to starting employment. As a new graduate or experienced provider, you will join a robust mentor program to enhance clinical skills and grow within a stable career environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in VA
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
