Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance care. Deliver exceptional lifetime care to patients while utilizing advanced tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Participate in a robust mentorship program to enhance clinical skills and navigate the office environment with confidence. Complete initial training and shadow experienced hygienists if joining our Hygienist-in-Training Program for licensure support. Maintain a safe environment by completing required tuberculosis testing and adhere to physical demands involving prolonged standing and lifting up to 45 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in MN
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- New Graduate or years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
