Job Summary
Perform daily dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays while maintaining records in electronic medical systems. Deliver exceptional patient care and education to support overall dental health under the clinical leadership of supported doctors. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Maintain physical stamina for prolonged sitting, standing, and lifting up to 45 pounds. Join a collaborative 19-person team within a unique community-focused office supported by a national network of experts.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- 2-3 years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope
- Experience using Diagnodent
- Experience using digital scanner
- Experience using digital x-rays
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
