Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools including Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, x-rays, and electronic medical record systems to support patient needs. Collaborate within a 19-person team under the guidance of a practice manager to ensure high-quality care delivery. Maintain eligibility by completing required TB testing and attending virtual training sessions. Work Monday through Friday with rotating shifts ranging from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- 2-3 years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope
- Experience using Diagnodent
- Experience using digital scanner
- Experience using digital x-rays
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
