Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, patient screenings, and medical history documentation while utilizing Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health, adhering to clinical needs as required by the office. Perform essential duties including prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds as necessary. Complete required tuberculosis testing prior to employment. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:20 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in AK
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test

- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
