Job Summary
The Dental Hygienist at Adelante Healthcare Mesa performs professional dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, radiographic studies, and charting conditions of decay and disease. Responsibilities include providing oral health education, working within a team-based care model, and supporting self-management and behavior change. Requires graduation from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program, an active Arizona dental hygiene license, and meeting affiliated practice relationship requirements; may involve travel between health center sites and a bilingual patient population is a plus. The role supports community health through clinical and educational activities and requires CPR/AED (or ACLS) certification, fingerprint clearance, and safety/compliance with center policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an ADA accredited school of dental hygiene
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Valid and active Arizona license to practice oral hygiene
- Active Affiliated Practice Dental Hygienist relationship (requirements to obtain/maintain)
- Active practice in dental hygiene for at least 500 hours in the two years preceding the affiliated practice relationship
- Completion of 12 hours of continuing education related to initial credentialing of the practice agreement
- CPR and AED certification (and/or ACLS) per AHA/Red Cross guidelines
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card in AZ for all specialty locations
- Valid and active Arizona Driver License or other government-issued ID
- Ability to perform assignments with independent judgement
- Proficiency in computers and MS Office
- Ability to travel between health center sites when necessary
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Commitment to vaccine mandates as part of safety policy
