Job Summary
Conduct daily dental hygiene procedures including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative care maintenance. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to support clinical needs. Provide exceptional patient care while collaborating with the on-site team and practice manager. Maintain physical stamina for prolonged sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds as required. Complete mandatory pre-employment tuberculosis testing and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Virginia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications

- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
