Job Summary
Conduct 90-minute new patient exams and 60-minute recare appointments while utilizing Dentrix electronic medical record systems. Perform patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and digital x-rays. Work full-time four days a week at a new Kannapolis, NC office opening November 2026, with training at a nearby location during the transition. Complete required TB testing and CPR certification prior to employment. Join a 9-person team supported by Heartland Dental's mentor program and clinical resources.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
