Job Summary
Conduct thorough, personalized dental care through 60-minute recare and 90-minute new patient appointments while educating patients on oral health maintenance. Serve as a clinical provider and patient advocate within a single-doctor practice, collaborating with Dr. Patel to build lasting relationships. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance using resources including Velscope, Diagnodent, and digital x-rays. Work a consistent four-day Monday–Thursday schedule with Fridays, weekends, and evenings free. Join a supportive team of nine professionals under the clinical autonomy of Heartland Dental, supported by mentorship, continuing education, and access to high-quality supplies and labs.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Georgia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
