Job Summary
Conduct thorough hygiene procedures including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis while performing comprehensive periodontal and caries risk assessments. Take digital radiographs as necessary for diagnosis and educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment needs. Assist in developing personalized treatment plans based on assessments and dentist recommendations, then maintain accurate patient records. Work closely with dentists to ensure coordinated care, adhere strictly to infection control protocols, and engage patients in a friendly, reassuring manner.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- CPR certification
- Local Anesthesia certification
- Nitrous Oxide Sedation certification
- Laser Certification (where required)
