Job Summary
Full-time Dental Hygienist in an outpatient dental team within a not-for-profit community healthcare organization. Provide preventative dental hygiene services (cleanings, periodontal charting, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments) and oral health screenings; educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; assist dentists, EFDA’s, and dental assistants; maintain EMR documentation; see ~17 appointment slots per day with a productivity budget of 14 completed visits daily; 5 administrative hours per week for charting and care coordination; deliver culturally competent care; collaborate with dental team to provide patient-centered care; participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development; build relationships with patients and community referral sources.
Required Qualifications
- Active and Unrestricted Ohio Dental Hygienist License
- Local Anesthesia Certification Preferred (if applicable in Ohio)
- CPR Certification
- Comfortable treating adult and pediatric patients
- Experience in high-volume dental setting preferred
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
