Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative care maintenance. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to deliver high-quality clinical services. Perform essential duties requiring prolonged periods of sitting and standing, with the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. Maintain a tuberculosis test status as required for all new hires in dental office positions. Work Mon-Thurs shifts within a supportive team environment that provides mentorship and access to continuing education resources.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
