Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative dental care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools including Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems to support the clinical team in a collaborative 8-person environment. Maintain patient records and adhere to safety protocols, including a required tuberculosis test, while completing virtual or in-person training sessions as needed. Work Monday and Wednesday shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, lifting up to 45 pounds and performing essential duties as required by the office doctor.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
