Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative dental care, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and overall maintenance of patients' dental health. Utilize digital x-rays, electronic medical record systems, and diagnostic tools like Velscope and Diagnodent to assess patient needs. Perform essential clinical duties requiring prolonged periods of sitting and standing, with the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Work full-time hours with access to a robust mentorship program and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in VA
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
