Job Summary
Conduct 90-minute new patient exams and 60-minute recare in a state-of-the-art dental practice utilizing Dentrix. Perform dental patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance while managing clinical needs as required by the office. Work full-time, four days a week, with training at a nearby location until the new office opens in October 2026. Complete a tuberculosis test prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
