Job Summary
Perform complete and advanced oral prophylaxis and other dental hygienist procedures on ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients. Complete patient preparation for dental hygiene treatment and manage radiographic images including bite wing, periapical, and panoramic x-rays. Maintain patient treatment records within the automated healthcare system. Work Monday through Friday, 0715–1615, excluding federal holidays, at the Womack Army Medical Center Dental Clinic in Fort Bragg, NC.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Currently licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in a State or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Radiology Certification meeting 42 CFR Part 75 standards (educational program accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education and certification as a radiographer)
- At least one year of experience performing prophylactic dental procedures on patients
- Experience conducting examinations of the teeth and mouth
- Experience operating radiographic equipment to obtain x-rays
