Job Summary
Deliver thorough, high-quality hygiene care to patients while leading with education and connection in every appointment. Operate with clinical autonomy supported by a robust mentor program and access to virtual training sessions to enhance clinical skills. Provide preventative maintenance and overall dental health management, utilizing tools such as digital scanners and electronic medical record systems as required. Work two days a week on Mondays and Fridays at the Greenway Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, with a focus on work-life balance and patient-centered service.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Maryland
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
