Job Summary
Part-time Dental Hygienist at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Dayton, OH. Responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy, conducting oral health assessments, taking and developing dental radiographs, providing patient education on oral hygiene, maintaining patient records with digital charting, assisting with infection control and sterilization, and collaborating with dentists and other dental team members. Requires an active Ohio state license and either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; new graduates are welcome. Familiarity with digital charting and dental software (EPIC and Dentrix EMR a plus). Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, every other Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; salary is $50/hr at 0.7 FTE plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Licensure: Active and current Ohio state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital charting and dental software; experience with EPIC and Dentrix EMR is a plus
- Soft Skills: Compassionate care, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment
