Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, patient screenings, and medical history documentation while utilizing Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Provide preventative care and overall maintenance for patients under the mentorship of a robust Hygiene mentor program. Work Monday through Friday with specific morning and afternoon shifts, maintaining clinical autonomy within a supported office environment. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in FL
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- 1 year experience
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test

- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
