Job Summary
Conduct 60-minute recall and 90-minute new patient appointments at a two-doctor practice using Dentrix. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health, including screenings and medical history documentation. Utilize Velscope, iTero, and digital x-rays while maintaining CPR certification and completing required TB testing. Perform essential duties involving prolonged sitting/standing and lifting up to 45 pounds. Work part-time shifts including mandatory Mondays (8 am–5 pm), with bi-weekly pay and optional daily pay available.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Illinois
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
