Job Summary
Deliver patient care and preventative maintenance using Dentrix or transitioning to digital scanning with iTero. Perform dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation while adhering to clinical needs as required by the office. Maintain a collaborative, family-style environment by supporting a team that values kindness and flexibility. Complete mandatory pre-employment TB testing and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions. Work part-time schedules on Mondays and Fridays with a warm, positive practice atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Maryland
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Has Dentrix experience or is open to learning
- Has iTero experience or is excited to expand digital scanning skills
- Is a new graduate with a local anesthesia license or obtaining one
- Appreciates a collaborative, connected team environment
- Values a fun, hardworking, and welcoming atmosphere
- 1+ years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
