Dental Hygienist/EPDH - Outreach Roles

Job Summary
Deliver preventive dental care through school sealant programs in Salem, conducting assessments, intra-oral photos, x-rays, and hygiene services independently. Educate students, families, and community partners on oral health while coordinating sealant events, patient participation, and follow-up care. Identify students needing additional treatment, prescribe antibiotics with dentist guidance, and manage referrals for restorative care. Collaborate with tele-dentists for chart review and diagnosis, perform scoop and fill procedures, and serve as an Oral Health Champion in assigned settings. Manage schedules proactively, handle administrative duties including insurance verification and EHR platforms, and partner with schools and medical providers to integrate oral health into wellness.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Oregon EPDH license required
- CPR certification required
- Local anesthesia certification required
