Job Summary
Conduct preventative dental procedures including thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, and application of cavity preventative agents like fluorides and sealants. Accurately chart patient dental history, periodontal health, and treatment records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Administer local anesthetics as permitted by the dental practice act and assist the dentist with directed tasks. Partner with front office staff to manage appointment scheduling and build a robust recall program. Work with a dedicated support team for coaching and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
