Job Summary
Provide oral hygiene services including thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents. Accurately chart patient dental history, update periodontal health records, and handle records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer local anesthetics if permitted by the dental practice act. Assist the dentist as directed and partner with the team to educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and nutrition. Work with front office staff to control your schedule and maximize time with each patient.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to travel between locations
