Job Summary
Provide oral hygiene services including thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications. Accurately chart patient dental history, update periodontal health records, and handle records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer local anesthetics if allowed by the dental practice act and provide assistance as directed by the dentist. Partner with the dental team to build a robust recall program while maximizing patient interaction time. Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
