Job Summary
Conduct dental hygiene procedures, patient screenings, and medical history documentation while utilizing diagnostic tools like Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health within a collaborative 13-person team supported by a robust mentorship program and virtual training sessions. Perform essential duties including prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds as required by the office. Complete a mandatory tuberculosis test prior to starting employment. Work Tuesday through Friday with flexibility to balance clinical autonomy and work-life benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
