Job Summary
Provide exceptional lifetime patient care as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate within a supportive, fast-paced team environment. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health while utilizing clinical autonomy and access to a robust hygiene mentor program for continuous skill enhancement. Conduct patient screening and medical history documentation, utilizing experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:40 AM to 5:00 PM, with part-time candidates welcome to apply. Complete required TB testing prior to starting employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of clinical experience

- Experience using digital scanner
- Experience using digital x-rays
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
