Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative dental care and patient maintenance, including dental screenings, medical history documentation, and the use of Velscope, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Perform clinical procedures as required by the office doctor while adhering to strict safety protocols, such as completing a mandatory tuberculosis test prior to employment. Provide exceptional lifetime care to patients in a collaborative, patient-focused environment supported by a robust mentorship program and access to continuing education resources. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with half-day Friday coverage once monthly, within a unique community practice serving diverse patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Excellent working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures
- Excellent working knowledge of dental patient screening
- Excellent working knowledge of medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
