Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, patient screenings, and medical history documentation while utilizing Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical skills enhanced by mentorship and educational offerings. Work full-time hours including some Mondays through Fridays with availability for virtual training sessions and periodic in-person sessions. Complete a required tuberculosis test prior to starting employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Dental hygiene procedures
- Dental patient screening
- Medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test

- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
