Job Summary
Deliver preventative dental care and comprehensive maintenance to patients during Mon-Thurs 7:45 am - 5 pm shifts. Perform clinical procedures including screenings, medical history documentation, and use of diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays. Maintain electronic medical records and ensure compliance with office clinical needs while adhering to physical requirements for prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting up to 45 pounds. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions. Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Dental hygiene procedures
- Dental patient screening
- Medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
