Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools including Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, x-rays, and electronic medical record systems to support the patient care team. Maintain patient records and adhere to clinical needs as required by the office, while completing virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Complete a pre-employment tuberculosis test and maintain CPR certification. Work full-time hours Monday through Thursday with a sign-on bonus available for new graduates.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Ohio
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
