Job Summary
Deliver patient-centered care by educating patients on oral health, conducting screenings, and performing preventative maintenance without feeling rushed. Collaborate with doctors during regularly scheduled meetings to align on patient care and share clinical insights. Participate in structured onboarding and mentorship programs to grow clinical skills, while attending virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Maintain documentation of medical histories and ensure compliance with TB testing requirements as part of the pre-employment process.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Florida
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Dental hygiene procedures
- Dental patient screening
- Medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Experience using Velscope
- Experience using Diagnodent
- Experience using digital scanner
- Experience using digital x-rays
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
