Job Summary

Conduct full-mouth hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing, while performing patient screenings, medical history documentation, and preventative care education. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, and digital x-rays to assess oral health needs. Deliver clinical services in a collaborative, fee-for-service environment with a supportive team focused on patient outcomes. Schedule includes Monday through Thursday from 7:50 am to 4:30 pm, plus one Friday per month from 8 am to 2 pm or 12 pm. Requires a current Texas dental hygienist license, CPR certification, and ability to lift 45 pounds. Includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid holidays, retirement plans, and ongoing mentorship opportunities within Heartland Dental's network of supported practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Dental Hygienist with TX credentials
  • Current dental hygienist license in Texas and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions
